Hotel
How can we book a room at the hotel?
The best rates are available when booking directly through our website – for all those who express the intention to join the Privilege Club or are already members.
You can also easily make a reservation through our booking service by calling +386 4 587 71 00 or emailing hotel.spik@hit.si.
When can I check in and when do I have to check out?
Check-in is possible from 2pm onwards, and check-out is required by 11am.
Until when can I cancel my reservation free of charge?
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 7 days before the scheduled arrival. In case of a later cancellation, the cost of one night will be charged. In case of a no-show, 100% of the reservation amount will be charged.
Do you offer any discounts on accommodations?
Club members are entitled to cash discounts on direct booking: Silver card 10% (for online booking), Gold 20%, and Black 50%. Additionally, we occasionally run promotions for club members offering better prices and send various offers several times a year for more affordable stays. Even if you are not yet a member, you can confirm your intention to join and book a room with a 10% discount.
Do you provide extra beds for children?
Yes, baby cots are available upon prior reservation and for an additional charge of €10 per night.
Are pets allowed in the hotel?
Yes, dogs are warmly welcomed, but only in the 3-star section of the hotel. Please inform the staff when booking if you will be staying with a dog and familiarize yourself with the pet stay rules. The surcharge for staying with a dog is €10 per day.
Do you offer room service?
Room service is available daily from 8am to 6pm. The food and drink menu is available in each room/hotel information folder.
Do you have connecting rooms?
In the 4-star section of the hotel, there are 15 connecting rooms, which are an ideal accommodation option for families with older children or friends.
Do you have smoking and non-smoking rooms?
All rooms at the Špik Hotel are non-smoking. However, some rooms have balconies where smoking is permitted.
Do you have rooms suitable for people with disabilities?
There is one room in the hotel adapted for guests with mobility impairments. Due to limited availability, we recommend booking in advance.
Can I book multiple rooms at the same time? How can I book several rooms together for a larger group?
Multiple rooms can be booked through the Špik website.
For specific needs and requests, it is best to handle them directly. In such cases, we recommend making your reservation through our booking service at the email address hotel.spik@hit.si.
Are there any additional charges or fees added to the room price?
The only additional charge is the tourist tax, which varies between municipalities in Slovenia. In Gozd Martuljek, where Špik is located, the tourist tax is €2.00 per adult per night.
Can I book a room using Privilege points?
Yes, you can pay for your room at Špik with points, provided your loyalty card balance allows it. Reservations using Privilege points must be made in advance through the Korona Kranjska Gora gaming and entertainment centre on +386 4 587 80 00 or marketing.korona@hit.si.
Is breakfast included in the price?
Yes, the price includes an overnight stay with a rich buffet breakfast.
Do you offer laundry or ironing services?
Yes, laundry and ironing services are available upon prior request. This service is chargeable according to the current price list. Dry cleaning is not available.
Is online booking more affordable?
We publish special offers on our website, where Privilege Club members can also use points to pay for their stay.
How do I know my online booking is confirmed?
After completing your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email.
Is there parking available at the hotel?
Yes, there is a large free parking area available for guests in front of the hotel.
Which cards are accepted at the hotel?
In the hotel, restaurants, and wellness centre, we accept: debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, and Diners.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the complex.
What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is available to hotel guests every day from 7am to 10am as a buffet. If desired, it can also be served to your room for an additional service charge. If you are leaving the hotel before 7am, we can prepare a breakfast-to-go package – please request it in advance at the hotel reception.

Yes, the Špik Hotel offers several conference halls and a meeting room, suitable for various business events, seminars, and workshops. More
Is the hotel family-friendly?
Yes, the Špik Hotel is suitable for families with children. Children up to 6 years stay free of charge if sharing a bed with parents. An extra bed for children up to 6 years costs €20/night. For guests aged 6 and over, the surcharge for an extra bed (including half board) is: €45/person/night in the 3-star section and €55/person/night in the 4-star. Baby cots are available for €10/night.
What are the restaurant hours?
Buffet restaurant:
• Breakfast: 7am – 11am
• Dinner: 6pm – 9pm
The hotel does not offer lunch, but light snacks are available at the hotel bar.
Wellness
Does the Špik Hotel have an indoor swimming pool?
Yes, within the Špik Resort you will find the World of Water, which includes a swimming pool with counter-current, a children’s pool with play features, and a relaxation pool with a massage waterfall and hydro-massage benches.
Is access to the pool free for hotel guests?
Yes, access to the World of Water is included in the price of the stay for hotel guests. You have access to the swimming, children’s, and relaxation pools, as well as indoor and outdoor lounge areas.
In the sauna area, guests can enjoy Finnish, Turkish, and herbal saunas for an additional fee. Other services such as massages and beauty treatments are available at extra charge and require advance booking.
Is a reservation required for wellness services at Špik?
No reservations are required for access to the pool and sauna complex. However, since the World of Water and the sauna area can get quite busy on weekends, guests are advised to check availability in advance by calling +386 4 587 75 80.

Do you accept reservations for pool and sauna access?
No, reservations are not accepted for the pool and sauna complex. Due to high demand on weekends, we recommend calling in advance to check availability: +386 4 587 75 80.
When should I arrive for my booked wellness service?
To ensure a relaxed start to your treatment, please arrive at the wellness centre 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. If you are more than 5 minutes late, the service will be performed in the remaining time.
What are the opening hours of the World of Water and the sauna area?
World of Water:
open from 9am to 9pm, and on Saturdays until 11pm (last entry at 10pm).
World of Sauna:
From 1 June to 30 September: open 2pm to 9pm, Saturdays until 11pm (entry until 10pm)
From 1 October to 31 May: open noon to 9pm, Saturdays until 11pm (entry until 10pm)
What are the water and air temperatures in the pool area?

What types of saunas do you offer?
Our sauna facilities include a Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, and Turkish (steam) sauna.
Additionally, the sauna area features an ice room, a cooling whirlpool, and heated loungers for relaxation.
Operating hours are from 2pm to 9pm (until 11pm on Saturdays).
What are the rules for children's entry into the pools and sauna area?
Children of all ages are welcome in the pool; however, those under the age of 7 must always be accompanied by an adult. The same rule applies to sauna use. We recommend that children be at least 6 years old before entering the sauna. Sauna sessions should not exceed 1 minute per year of the child’s age (e.g., 7 years old = 7 minutes). Children must follow the same sauna rules as adults: no swimwear, and use of a towel or sheet (both included in the price) is required. Please respect the house rules and follow staff instructions. Adult supervision is always mandatory.
What are the wellness centre’s opening hours?
The wellness centre is open from 9am to 9pm, and on Saturdays until 11pm.

Where is the resort located?

How do I get to the hotel?
The Špik Alpine Resort is located in Gozd Martuljek, about 5 km east of Kranjska Gora, at Jezerci 21, 4282 Gozd Martuljek, Slovenia. It is accessible by car, public transport, or air travel.
By train:
The nearest train station is in Jesenice, approximately 20 km from the hotel. From there, you can continue by bus or taxi to Gozd Martuljek.
By bus:
Regular bus lines connect Jesenice and Kranjska Gora, with a stop in Gozd Martuljek, located near the hotel.
By air:
The closest airports are Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (Slovenia) and Klagenfurt Airport (Austria). From both airports, you can rent a car or arrange organized transfers to the hotel.

Unfortunately, the hotel does not offer EV charging stations. The nearest charging point is in Kranjska Gora.

Can I rent a bike at the hotel?

How far is the Špik resort from the Kranjska Gora ski slopes?
The ski area in Kranjska Gora is 6 km from the Špik resort.
How far is the resort from the centre of Kranjska Gora (on foot / by bike)?
The resort are approximately 5 km from Kranjska Gora. On foot: A scenic walking trail, mostly away from the main road, takes about 1 hour. By bike: A dedicated cycling path leads to Kranjska Gora, reachable in about 20 minutes. This trail continues toward Mojstrana in one direction and Tarvisio (Italy) in the other.
Does the hotel offer transport to the ski slopes?
Yes, during the winter season, there is a free ski bus between the Špik Hotel and the Kranjska Gora ski resort. The bus stops directly in front of the hotel.
What major attractions are near the resort?
The Špik Alpine Resort is a great starting point for exploring natural and cultural attractions such as:

The Špik resort offers a range of sport facilities, including a beach volleyball court, a badminton court, table tennis, bike rental, swimming pool complex, gym, and a squash court.
Privilege Club
What is the Privilege Club and how can I join?
The Privilege Club is the loyalty program of the Hit Universe of Fun resorts and hotels, continuously rewarding your loyalty. During your visit, stop by the hotel reception where you will receive all the information about the benefits and fill out a membership application form.
Can I join online?
Currently, you can only join the club in person at the hotel. You can also express your intent to join when booking a hotel online and immediately reserve a room at a discounted rate. The membership process will be completed upon your visit to the hotel.

How many points do I need for a service?
Collected points can be redeemed for services – at Špik for overnight stays, and at the gaming and entertainment centres also for food, drinks, and games. You can check how many points are needed for a specific service in the points-based price list.
I lost my Privilege card. How can I get a new one and what happens to the points on it?
If you lose your card, visit the hotel reception or the Privilege Point at any Hit Universe of Fun gaming and entertainment centre during your next visit. The staff will either return your lost card or issue a new one. All benefits and points collected so far will be transferred to the new card.
How can I use the points I've collected?

How long do my Privilege points last?
Points are valid indefinitely as long as you visit and collect points at Hit Universe of Fun centres and hotels at least once a year. If a guest does not visit in a calendar year, points are deleted after one year. We send an email or SMS notification before deleting points to give you ample warning.
